Next decent Vampire film
This looks pretty cool - and good to see Claudia Karvan finally make it to Hollywood. Daybreakers is set in a world where everyone is a Vampire, and the last remaining humans are hunted and farmed for their blood. Seems like an extension of the TV series True Blood, where Vampires are accepted as part of society, and a synthetic blood drink allows them to live alongside humans.

Not to mention the awesomeness of the film being made by the same demented Queenslanders that made the cult film 'Undead'.
ReplyDeleteAnd Willem!
Yippedi-yippedi-yippee!
Just glad to see a cool looking vampire film that isn't either obsessed with adolescents or sexiness (or both). Yay death! Yay horror!
ReplyDeleteDidn't you see Let the Right One In? http://tiny.cc/WJ3aR
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to this - the Speirig (sp?) Brothers' UNDEAD was a real romp - I can't wait to see what they do with an actual budget!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. Except True Blood is a little more lighthearted than this looks to be. Also, TB is way more awesome, no matter how much you dislike Anna Paquin, AND it has way hotter guys :)
ReplyDeleteThe weird animal changing guy? Yes. The 'main love interest'? Nooooooo.
ReplyDeletehow can anyone dislike anna paquin?
ReplyDeleteBad Southern accent and overacting. Watch it - she's terrible.
